How to convert JPG to PDF
- Add your images. Tap the box to pick photos from your phone or computer, or drag files onto it. You can add more at any time, and mix JPG, PNG and WebP.
- Put the pages in order. The list is the page order. Use the up and down arrows, or drag a row with a mouse. Remove any image you don't want with ✕.
- Fix sideways photos. Click ↻ to turn an image 90° clockwise. Click again for 180° or 270°.
- Choose the page settings. A4 suits most of the world, Letter suits the US and Canada, and "Fit to image" makes each page exactly the size of its photo.
- Click Create PDF. The file downloads straight away. A single image is named after the image; several images give
images.pdf.
Which settings to choose
| Setting | Options | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Page size | A4, Letter, Fit to image | A4 or Letter if the PDF will be printed or submitted to an office. Fit to image for screen-only documents with no white border. |
| Orientation | Auto, Portrait, Landscape | Auto turns each page to match its image, so wide photos get landscape pages. Choose Portrait to keep every page upright for printing. |
| Margin | None, Small, Large | Small looks tidy and avoids printers cutting the edge. Large leaves room for punching holes or binding. |
| Image quality | High, Medium, Small file | Medium is a good balance for documents. Small file helps with email and upload limits. High keeps full resolution for printing photos. |
Each image is scaled to fit inside the margins with its proportions unchanged, and centred on the page. Nothing is stretched or cropped.
Making the PDF smaller
A modern phone photo is often 3 to 5 MB, so ten photos at full size give a large PDF. Most of that size is detail you can't see on an A4 page. Try these in order:
- Pick "Small file". It limits each image to 1,400 pixels on its longest side, which still prints clearly at A4 for text documents.
- Crop before converting. Cutting away the table or floor around a document saves space and makes the text bigger on the page. The image resizer can crop and resize first.
- Compress the images. The image compressor can shrink a batch of photos before you add them here.
Scanning documents with your phone
To turn paper documents into a PDF, take each photo straight from above in good light, with the page filling most of the frame. Avoid shadows from your hand or phone. Then add the photos here in page order and choose A4, portrait and a small margin. The result works well for ID copies, certificates, receipts and signed forms that an office asks you to send as a single PDF.
Private: your images never leave your device
Many online converters upload your files to a server. This one doesn't. Your browser decodes each image, draws it onto a canvas and saves it as JPEG, and a small PDF writer in the page puts those images into the PDF file. Everything happens on your device, and it keeps working offline once the page has loaded. That matters for ID cards, bank statements and other private documents.
Because every image is re-encoded, EXIF data such as GPS location and camera details is not copied into the PDF. Transparent areas in PNG or WebP images become white, as PDF pages are white.
Format support
JPG, PNG and WebP work in every current browser. GIF and BMP usually work too (only the first frame of a GIF). HEIC photos from iPhones can only be read by browsers that support HEIC, such as Safari. In other browsers, export the photo as JPEG first, or set the iPhone camera to "Most Compatible".
